Free services being provided by the volunteers of Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi for the smooth conduct of the Godavari Pushkaralu is laudable. About 2,000 volunteers have come from different parts of the district and Hyderabad to provide services to the needy.

Besides providing free food, the Samithi helps the old and the differently-abled to the ghats in wheelchairs and brings them back to their relatives, provides drinking water through their mobile vans, manages crowds and helps in cleaning the ghats.
